Bertil Christian is the President and CEO of Global Power Technology. In this role, Bertil manages GPT’s three subsidiary companies: Dranetz Technologies, Inc., Electrotek Concepts, Inc., and Daytronic Corporation.
Mr. Christian is a highly experienced, successful, and well-regarded business leader with expertise in growing and improving business by putting emphasis on partnering and building customer relationships. He is a people and customer centered individual, with a strong history of creating highly engaged teams. He has excellent business experience, and the drive to help take Electrotek to the next level of growth and development.
Mr. Christian has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication, and a master’s degree in Computer Science with specialization in Software Development. He previously worked at SATEC, Inc. which is an energy management company, providing hardware and software solutions. In the past, he also worked with IBM and Siemens providing energy solutions in various market sectors.
Juan Antialon has strong project management skills, experience with electrical meters and software, as well as experience working directly with customers, and is involved in sales and roll out of PQView throughout the world. Mr. Antialon is the PQView Scrum Master in Electrotek’s Agile Software Development Process, and he facilitates collaboration between PQView sales and development.
Prior to joining us, Juan worked as an Associate Product Manager for ASCO Power Technologies, a Schneider Electric company, which is a manufacturer of electrical equipment serving mission critical power operations. While at ASCO, Juan was responsible for providing market support in the areas of pricing, competitive analysis and technical support of current products, as well as the rollout of new products. Prior to ASCO, Juan worked with SATEC, an energy management company with both hardware and software services. While there he started as an Application Engineer, where he provided technical support to customers, and commissioned new meters. Juan then moved into a Project Engineer role at SATEC where he managed commercial/industrial/utility projects, led commissioning efforts, coordinated with outside vendors, as well as training.
Juan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, and he also has a Master of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Ross Ignall has 20+ yrs of experience in the design, development, marketing, and application of test and measurement instrumentation, including acoustic, energy and power quality instrumentation and associated software. Mr. Ignall has worked in various capacities in development engineering, sales and marketing. He is presently the Director of Product Management & Marketing at Dranetz Technologies, as well as the Director of Marketing at Electrotek Concepts.
Mr. Ignall is a US patent holder, published author, and a frequent domestic and international speaker, He regularly conducts seminars, presents papers and articles in the fields of instrumentation, power quality and energy. Mr. Ignall is a member of the IEC US national committee, and a technical expert & US representative to IEC TC 77/SC 77A/WG 9 (power quality).
Mr. Ignall has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and a minor in Computer Science from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey).
Kevin Kittredge is a Senior Power Systems Engineer with Electrotek Concepts in Beverly, Massachusetts with more than 19 years of power quality monitoring and analysis experience. He is one of Electrotek’s senior power systems engineers, assisting with implementing new PQView installations and subsequent training, providing analysis of power quality disturbances, supporting customer inquiries regarding using and debugging PQView, assistance with software development, and consulting on development options for PQView version 4.
Previously, Mr. Kittredge managed the power quality monitoring system at Salt River Project, which provides electric distribution services in Phoenix, Arizona. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.
Bill Dabbs has over 35 years of experience as a professional computer software engineer, with 25 years focused on power quality monitoring data acquisition, downloading, management, and analysis. He has developed software for a diverse set of computing platforms ranging from embedded systems to network servers. He has extensive knowledge of communication, database, instrumentation, data acquisition, numerical modelling, and image processing software development.
He was responsible for the core design of PQDM and the core database schema design of the PQView Measurement Database, and significant portions of user interface design.
Mr. Dabbs implemented much of the data management components and infrastructure. Bill was the lead software engineer for the EPRI Power Quality Database project where he was responsible for the overall software architecture, design, and implementation. The EPRI PQ Database included customizations contracted by Duke Power Company (now DEC).
He is the lead software engineer for the PQDMS and the Electrotek/Dranetz Encore Series Software. These systems are responsible for configuring and downloading large numbers of power monitors, energy meters, and power quality meters.
Mr. Dabbs has a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science Degree from Memphis State University.
Michael Plummer has very strong systems architectural/design/development skills, with mastery of C/C++/C#, all of which are of great value to the PQView 4 development team. He is responsible for interfacing PQDMS through multiple meters by manufactures, such as Schneider Electric (ION), Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), Powerside (PQube), and more. Consultation to other portions of software and leadership is always provided in addition to day to day work. He currently works out of remote office in the region of the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
Prior to joining Electrotek, Mr. Plummer worked as a Senior Software Engineer at various notable companies, including PlateSmart, Viztek LLC, and UST Global. He has a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
Ivan Bilić is a software engineer with Electrotek Concepts. He was the architect for the development of the Automatic Reporting System (ARS), which is used for advanced, flexible, and automatic power quality reporting. He has more than 10 years of development experience building Microsoft server and desktop applications with more than seven years focused on building PQView applications. He has designed applications for creating PQDIF files and managing power quality monitoring system interoperability. He has expert skills in software development, embedded software, and systems, C programming, Microsoft .NET C#, and Microsoft VB.NET programming, digital signal processing, and power quality analysis. Ivan has a Master of Science in Electronics from the University of Zagreb, and is currently pursuing a PhD in biomedical engineering, focusing on neurological impacts and metrics of voltage fluctuations, including flicker.
Madiha Faraz is a software engineer with more than 9 years of experience. Skilled in ASP.NET MVC, and client-side web development using C#, JS frameworks, HTML & CSS, she has always delivered successful solutions which help the organization in not only meeting its targets, but also allowing it to grow.
Prior to joining Electrotek, Madiha has worked as Business Application developer at City of Worcester, primarily focusing on redesigning old asp.net apps with new front end.
She has Master of Science in Software Engineering and is currently enrolled in Web/Mobile Application Development certificate in Boston University.
Based in Mexico City, Mexico, Leopoldo has been the Latin American sales manager for Dranetz and Electrotek Concepts since 2010. Leopoldo is a graduate of the Universidad Iberoamericana Mexico City in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and also attended Texas A&M University Engineering Extension Service in Houston, Texas.
Leopoldo is the developer and inventor of Ampek, the first patented software in Spanish to calculate current-carrying capacity and other electric parameters. He also has technical experience in electrical power systems, power cables, underground electrical networks, power quality and machinery.
Leopoldo has extensive experience in the sales and support of electromechanical equipment in Mexico and Latin America, and is a lecturer with several recognition's in power cables and Power Quality.
